The QA Commons is mindful of the dramatic and transformational impact COVID-19 is having on all institutions of higher education. As an organization, we are adapting our services to support preparing graduates for the workplace that is now changing more precipitously than ever.
There is national concern around low college completion rates, high student loans, tuition costs, and the disconnect between employers/graduates to engage successfully in the workforce. At QA Commons, our Mission is to ensure all learners are prepared for the changing dynamics of the workforce and economy. We aspire to help all people realize upward mobility by developing a foundation of employability skills needed by all workers in all jobs.LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS »
QA Commons works to ensure all educational programs prepare learners for career-long successful employment.
The EEQs represent the knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are applicable to most work-based professional environments.
The eight EEQs ensure a learner’s preparedness for educational attainment, greater economic mobility, and prosperity – regardless of industry or discipline.
The standards provide an evidence-based and consistent framework for delivering employability skills in education and technical skills training.
Impact Projects from the Faculty Employability Fellows demonstrate how participants make meaningful change in their colleges.

“The world of work is undergoing dramatic changes before our eyes…
It requires employers and employees to come to terms with a new environment, in which flexibility and adaptability have priority over job security and longterm (if not lifelong) employment, structured environments, and standardized roles and responsibilities.”
“Once a program earns the EEQ Accreditation, students and prospective employers alike can trust that the credential signifies employability. Growing evidence tells us EEQs are what employers want most—but struggle to find.”
“Employers are telling us what they look for and need in their employees. [Work with the QA Commons] builds bridges from the classroom to the workplace to fulfill those needs, while adding significantly more value to the degrees our students earn by their ability to thrive in a rapidly changing workplace over the duration of their careers”
