Sharyl McGrew is the Deputy Director of The Quality Assurance Commons. Sharyl previously served as the Director of Substantive Change at WASC Senior College and University Commission, where she analyzed changes in access, delivery, and ownership in higher education and made policy recommendations to the Commission. Sharyl has more than 20 years experience in project management and fundraising for a diverse range of clients in K-12 and higher education. She has assisted universities, school districts, and nonprofit clients with complex regulatory requirements, quality assurance, institutional mergers, design and delivery of new programs and/or partnerships, and fundraising. She is also a writer, editor, trainer, and classroom instructor and has taught in K-12, college, and prison settings. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a Master of Science in Community and Regional Development from the University of California, Davis.
